Abstract Detail
Ecological Section Al-Zein, Mohammad [1], Musselman, Lytton John [1]. Phenology and pollen presentation in Michauxia campanuloides L. Michauxia campanuloides L'Hér. is an herbaceous monocarpic biennial that inhabits rocky outcrops and cliffs of the Eastern Mediterranean. A study of the phenology and pollen presentation of M. campanuloides in Lebanon compared to related genera will be presented. The study revealed that the plant is dichogamous and displays secondary pollen presentation by depositing pollen on retractile hairs of the style. The retraction mechanism of the pollen-collecting hairs as well as their significance in relation to pollination will be emphasized. Log in to add this item to your schedule
