Economic Botany Section Ebigwai, J.K. [1]. Survey of Medicinal Plants of Mosogar. A survey of medicinal plants of Mosogar was carried out. It was aimed primarilly not only to document the medicinal plant species of the Mosogar people, but to determine the plants parts, their regimen and to drum up support for its usage. Data was obtained through ethnobotanical questionnaires, visits to locally acclaimed shamans and and a visit to a herbaria. The result showed a total of thirty-eight plant species cutting across several families were in use. Leaves, barks, seeds and roots in that order are predominantly the most used of the plant parts. While about three-qurter of the formulations were administered internally, the remainder is applied externally to the part(s) of interest.
