The National Science Foundation sponsors a wide range of grants and fellowships that support education, research from undergraduate to postgraduate levels by individuals and teams large and small, and infrastructure in the sciences, real and virtual. We will summarize numerous funding opportunities for educational development and scientific research, with emphasis on programs relevant to Botany, and provide tips for writing a successful proposal.
